I recently dug up an old copy of Red Alert 2 and tried to install it on my Windows 7 laptop. I have tried changing the compatability mode and also the screen resolution, and it won't begin the installation. Here is the issue in the most detail I can describe: 1) I put in the disk (1 of 2) and the opening splash screen comes up. 2) I click Install. 3) a minute or two passes, then I get a window labeled 'Diretx Error' which states 'Action not supporded'. I click OK and then get a second window of the same, and I click OK again. 4) At this point the program stops.

If anyone can help me solve this problem, it would be greatly appreciated.
